LAREDO, Tex.

(KGNS) - A Laredo animal cruelty case has taken a new turn, with police saying the suspect could face an upgraded felony charge after a dog was found injured and restrained in the back of a truck.

Laredo Police Chief Miguel Rodriguez addressed the case at a press conference Friday, Aug. 28."But any time you hurt a dog, any time you hurt a cat, any time you hurt any animal, this is what's gonna come to you. It is not only the police department, it is the entire community," Rodriguez said.
