The sale of the old Animal Control Facility property and opening bids to select a real estate broker to market county property at 500 Hayes St., a contract for restoration of tax records damaged in the July 16 flood, termination of the contract with Shred-it Inc. for document destruction services and a lengthy discussion on a request to receive a reimbursement of a deposit for a wedding event booked into the Hill Country Youth Event Center in May 2027 topped Monday's agenda for the meeting of the Kerr County Commissioners' Court.

After an executive session to discuss the offer, commissioners approved a letter of intent from the City of Kerrville to purchase the property located at 1001 Landfill Road, which previously housed the old Kerr County Animal Control Facility.

The city originally owned the property in conjunction with the city landfill property and deeded it to the county when the county took over all animal control services for both the city and the county several decades ago.
