CARTER COUNTY, Texas (KXII) - A man is behind bars in Carter County after allegedly striking his father with a baseball bat and assaulting a responding police officer earlier this week.

Joshua Collier, 32, faces multiple charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a police officer, and obstruction.

He was taken into custody following an incident Monday at a home along E Street Northwest in Ardmore.
