Antonio 'A.J.' Armstrong is scheduled to return to court later this month as his attorneys continue their effort to challenge his 2023 murder conviction.

A hearing in Armstrong's case is scheduled for October 27.

It comes after the Court of Criminal Appeals of Texas rejected the state's attempt to stop the proceedings and lifted a stay that had put the hearing on hold.
