MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has confirmed that a man seen in a video of an apparent immigration-related detention in Midland is of Venezuelan origin and was taken into custody Thursday.

The video shows the detention at about 12:09 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, in the parking lot of the Walmart on Loop 250 in Midland.

The Mexican Consulate in Presidio helped obtain the information directly from ICE.
