CenterPoint Energy activated its Emergency Operations Center Monday morning as it prepares for potential impacts from Invest 97L across Southeast Texas, including the Greater Houston area, starting Tuesday.
The weather system could bring several inches of heavy rainfall, localized flooding and gusty winds to CenterPoint's service territory Tuesday and Wednesday.
The company's workforce is on standby to respond to potential impacts to both electric and gas service.
