ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Odessa Mayor Cal Hendrick says he is working to secure a deal that would provide Odessa residents with a week of free water service following last week's water odor issues.

Hendrick told First Alert 7 he will be trying to cement an agreement to cover the cost of water for Odessa residents for one week in response to the concerns.

The City of Odessa is also planning a media day to give news crews a tour of the city's water utility facility.
