LEAGUE CITY, Texas - League City voters have rejected Proposition A, opposing the police department's continued use of Flock Safety license plate reader cameras along public roadways.
The outcome triggers a plan approved by League City Council in October to discontinue the city's use of fixed roadway license plate readers.
Although Proposition A was technically nonbinding, council members approved a separate resolution on Oct. 13 directing city staff to remove of cover the cameras within 72 hours after the official canvass of the election results.
