NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Two former Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) beach volleyball players are suing the university under claims of retaliation for their support of a Title IX lawsuit.

One of the plaintiffs, Ryann Allison, was among seven female student-athletes who filed a sex-discrimination class-action suit after SFA eliminated the women's beach volleyball team and two other women's varsity teams.

The federal lawsuit alleges SFA violated Title IX by depriving women of equal opportunities to participate in intercollegiate athletics.
