Malone met informally with parents, students, teachers and other community members Monday afternoon in the J.B. Stephens Elementary School cafeteria, where he moved from group to group, smiling and chatting easily about school, athletics and other topics.

Another meet-and-greet session is scheduled Tuesday night at the Bangs High School cafeteria.
