Uvalde County is proposing a $25. 87 million general fund budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year, about $85,650 less than the budget commissioners adopted last year.

County auditor Alice Chapman presented the latest draft Aug. 24, showing $25,869,494 in projected general fund revenue and expenses.

The county adopted a $25,955,144 general fund budget for 2025-26.
