TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The City of Tyler could be getting another Academy Sports and Outdoors store, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

A filing with the state shows a second location of commercial retail store is in the works, with construction of a brand-new 55,000-square-foot store to be built near Sam's Club at the intersection of South Southwest Loop 323 & Earl Campbell Parkway in Tyler.

Construction is expected to cost $6 million and will begin Nov. 3, with a completion date set for March 2, 2027, according to the filing.
