Tivy's first district championship for the 2026-27 athletic year came on the course at Bandera's City Park when the Lady Antlers cross-country team won a very competitive race Wednesday to claim District 27-4A honors The Antlers came close to giving the program double titles before eventually finishing in third place, but based on their respective places, each team is now prepping for Region IV racing in Corpus Christi on Monday, Oct. 26.

In addition to qualifying both teams, Tivy can boast gold medalists Ivery Evans and Pedro Hernandez, both freshmen.

Lady Antlers Evans took 11:28 to go 2 miles, accounting for a single point since cross-country team scores, similar to golf, are based on the fewer the points, the better.
