A Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 p.m. Friday for much of the region.

Rain chances drop over the weekend and end early next week, according to the National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio.

Friday morning's heaviest rain fell along and near the U.S. 281 corridor east of Kerr County, at rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour in spots.
