WACO, Texas (KWTX) - The Central Texas Food Bank has officially opened its building in Waco.

The food bank has served the community since 1981, distributing food through partner agencies.

Until now, it had not offered direct support or a community resource in Waco."We really wanted to make sure that this is a resource for our neighbors that they can shopin the on-site market, they can participate in workforce training programs and we are able to provide prepared meals," Sari Vatske, Central Texas Food Bank President and CEO said.
