The Hutto Hippo varsity football team picked up their first program win over Vandegrift at home on Friday, Nov. 6, defeating the Vipers 49-10.
This victory is no miracle, as head coach Casey Walraven worked the Hippos in their bye week and completely reinvented the offense before the Friday night contest.
As a result, Hutto accumulated 254 rushing yards with five Hippos landing on the scoreboard: senior wide-receiver Jaiden Fields, junior wide-receiver Carson Fields, sophomore running-back Brayden Childs, senior wide-receiver Dylan Owens and junior running-back Kevin Cooper.
