ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - A new children's park is officially coming to Odessa, funded by a generous $3. 6 million pledge from the Bell family in honor of their late daughter.

The new eight-acre park, named Amy's Park, will be built as part of the developing Odessa Sports Complex.

For Ellen and Larry Bell, the project is the fulfillment of a vow they made 12 years ago to create a special place in memory of their daughter, Amy Bell, who suddenly passed away."What better place to honor Amy than a place where children can really find joy, but then also where people can also, in the memorial area of it, find solace," Larry Bell said.
