BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Today is one of the most exciting days of the year at Bryan ISD as the district kicked off the new school year with its annual convocation at Central Church.

Described as a pep rally for the nearly 3,000 staff members at Bryan ISD, the convocation cheered on staff as they arrived in the morning to celebrate the 2026-2027 school year.

Superintendent Ginger Carrabine said the district's vision focuses on the student, and to do that, it starts with making sure the staff knows that they have to the full support of the Bryan ISD community."My favorite part is shining a light on our students and making sure that our staff knows that we're here to support them while we're serving and taking care of our kids every year," Carrabine said.
