More than 112,000 bottles of Amazon-brand Extra Strength Acetaminophen have been recalled after consumers reported finding discolored tablets, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The report was published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on October 2. Big picture view: The voluntary recall, which was initiated Sept. 18 by Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc., involves 112,932 bottles of 500-milligram acetaminophen caplets sold through Amazon.

The FDA said the recall was prompted by consumer complaints about discolored tablets.
