By September 10, 2026 San Saba County on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 Temporary closures of FM 2997 and FM 45 for railroad crossing replacements this week Maps courtesy of the Texas Department of Transportation Lisa Tipton, Brownwood District Public Information Officer Texas Department Of Transportation- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) advises motorists of temporary closures of FM 45 and FM 2997, in and near Richland Springs, as Midwest Tracks Company replaces railroad crossings in these two locations.

September 16-18: FM 45 The first closure will begin on FM 45 (Carter Street) in Richland Springs at 7 AM on Wednesday, September 16.

Work requires approximately three (3) days of construction and is expected to be complete by approximately 5 PM on Friday, September 18, weather permitting.
