A man has been taken into custody after a hours-long standoff at an apartment complex on Houston's north side.

It happened near the intersection of E. Crosstimbers and Fulton Street.

Houston police responded to the apartment at around 3 p.m. after getting a report of a woman that was possibly being held hostage inside the apartment.
