HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A juvenile was taken into detention after law enforcement confiscated a gun at KIPP Mosaic Academy on Tuesday, according to Houston police.

The Houston Police Department said the juvenile brought a gun to the school's campus on Tuesday morning.

KIPP Texas Public Schools officials said that school leadership and law enforcement "immediately confiscated [the] concealed weapon" on campus.
