A woman accused of giving away her baby to a stranger at a downtown bus stop reportedly told that person she no longer wanted the child, according to a preliminary report from San Antonio police.

Karla Ibarra, 18, was arrested Sunday night on a child abandonment charge after she returned to the area.

The report states officers responded to a commotion after 11:30 p.m. on Broadway near East Pecan Street.
