TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Equipment vendors and municipal employees gathered at the East Texas State Fairgrounds in Tyler to coordinate and participate in the area's first equipment rodeo.

The event brought together equipment vendors to provide hands-on demonstrations, review safety protocols, and introduce municipal workers to new machinery and product lines.

In addition to equipment testing, workers participated in timed rodeo-style obstacle competitions."We have brought a community of vendors together to demo and let our city employees kind of run the equipment and get used to running new things, new product lines and to go over safety items with them," said BJ Kersh, operations manager at Lowe Tractor and Equipment.
