The Whitesboro Independent School District board of trustees voted this month to adopt an ordinance to set the 2026-2027 tax rate of $0. 7499 for the purpose of maintenance and operations and $0. 3760 for the purpose of payment of principal and interest in debt for a total rate of $1. 1259.

The decision was made following a public hearing during which Assistant Superintendent Ryan Prock discussed the district's 2026 property values and presented the budget by function code.

No public comments were presented, and the board approved the tax rate and budget unanimously.
