JEFFERSON, Texas (KLTV) - Police are investigating after a woman entered a Marion County polling place without authorization Friday evening while election workers were closing the polls.

According to the Jefferson Police Department, officers responded to the polling place at North Alley and Webster Street in Jefferson on reports of a disorderly person.

A statement from the JPD said election officials were carrying out closing procedures and preparing equipment and ballots for transport when a woman demanded to see what was occurring inside the closed building.
