TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - What started as a way to help speech students prepare for classroom presentations is now helping students in need.

The Kilgore College Longview campus has a clothing donation closet to help students dress for success, whether for everyday wear or job interviews."You never know what somebody may need. Sometimes, you know how they say 'life be lifing.' You never know when it's going to start lifing on you, so when an instance like that happens, we are here to help the students," said Tracy Fletcher, Kilgore College social services benefit navigator.

"We want them to be successful. We want to try to help them bridge the gap and meet the needs that they have for them and their families that they can be successful."Anyone who would like to donate clothing or shoes can drop items off at the Kilgore College Longview campus or the Devall Center at the Kilgore College main campus.{ "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "VideoObject", "name": "Kilgore College sets up closet to help students in need", "description": "Anyone who would like to donate clothing or shoes can drop items off at the Kilgore College Longview campus or the Devall Center at the Kilgore College main campus.", "thumbnailUrl": "https://gray-kltv-prod.gtv-cdn.com/resizer/v2/https%3A%2F%2Fdo0bihdskp9dy.cloudfront.net%2F10-28-2026%2Ft_a5384a421fbf4f408296ace471b1ee0a_name_file_1280x720_2000_v3_1_.jpg?auth=97c3ad2ab19c48c3c890d464783ac314536c04b956815b1ccab69f32fb5e0943&width=1920&height=1080&smart=true", "uploadDate": "2026-10-28T02:23:57Z", "duration": "P0Y0M0DT0H2M43S", "contentUrl": "https://d1l66zlxaqpl1u.cloudfront.net/wp-gray/20261028/6ae15b57184f820c25888a95/t_18d357d7e8ec4888aff8143a532f69e5_name_WEBX_KC_DONATION_CLOSET_KLTV1155_186/file_1280x720-2000-v3_1.mp4" }
