Killeen, Texas (KWTX) - When Tia Tate witnessed a homicide in Houston, she found herself in a situation she would never forget.

Someone needed help, but she didn't have the training or knowledge to provide it.

That experience would change the course of her life, inspiring her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others in their most vulnerable moments."I tried to help the individual that was affected. I didn't have the knowledge or skills on what to do so I just made a vow that next time I'm in a situation like that I will know what to do and I will be able to help," Tate said.
