BELTON, Texas (KWTX) - A Bell County grand jury has indicted Colton Carter on a capital murder charge in the May 2026 shooting death of a Salado man.

BELTON, Texas (KWTX) - A Bell County grand jury has indicted Colton Carter on a capital murder charge in the May 2026 shooting death of a Salado man.

Carter has been transferred back to Bell County Jail awaiting state prosecution.
