WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A former McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility employee who was placed on deferred probation in 2023 after he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy in custody was sentenced to 15 years in prison Wednesday.
Jatavian Smith, 29, pleaded true to 30 violations of his probation during a revocation hearing in Waco's 54th State District Court.
Visiting Judge Roy Sparkman adjudicated him guilty, revoked his probation and sent him to prison.
