PRESIDIO, Texas (KOSA) - The Presidio County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of an active shooter Sunday night that turned out to be the backfire of a truck.

According to the sheriff's office, at 10:26 p.m. on Aug. 17, the sheriff's office received multiple 911 calls about a possible active shooter situation in the area of Presidio Elementary School, O'Reilly Street and surrounding areas.

Law enforcement quickly responded and sent multiple units to O'Reilly Street to investigate the threat.
