Boerne, Texas has been selected as a finalist in the Hallmark Channel's Merriest Christmas Town contest, giving residents the opportunity to vote for their town to win the holiday competition.

One Texas town is hoping to prove everything really is bigger and merrier in the Lone Star State this Christmas.

Boerne, located in the Texas Hill Country, is a finalist in the Hallmark Channel's Merriest Christmas Town contest, giving Texans a chance to rally behind a local favorite and help bring home the holiday title.

Boerne transforms into a holiday destination during the Christmas season, with its historic downtown lined with twinkling lights, decorated storefronts and festive events.
