LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin ISD announced Thursday night the hiring of Glen Kimble as the new head baseball coach at Lufkin High SchoolKimble graduated from Lufkin in 1990 and is returning home to lead his alma mater.

After playing college baseball at Stephen F. Austin and the University of Houston, Kimble joined the coaching staff at Lufkin before taking the job at Hudson High School.

While at Hudson, Kimble eclipsed the 500-win mark in 2023 and retired in January 2024.
