Several H-E-B products containing jalapeos were recalled due to possible salmonella contamination, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The USDA's FSIS issued an Aug. 8 public health alert for meat and poultry products containing "FDA (Food and Drug Administration)-regulated jalapeos that may be contaminated with Salmonella." The following H-E-B products are included in the alert: Other stores impacted by the alert include Albertsons, Hannaford, Kroger, RaceTrac, Walmart and Wawa.

Walmart's 12. 5 oz Marketside-branded Southwest Style Salad with Chicken is also under the recall.
