HCTC is making an investment into the education of Hill Country students beyond powering their internet access and online curriculums.

The Hill Country Telephone Cooperative (HCTC) formed in 1951 with the mission of bringing reliable telephone services, and later internet, across the rural Texas Hill Country.

According to HCTC's 2025 Annual Report, today the cooperative provides telecommunication services in 14 surrounding counties covering about 3,000 square miles of rural Hill Country terrain.
