KILGORE, Texas (KLTV) - The Kilgore Fire Department said in a statement that its crews are working to contain a fire north of Kilgore.

The department said that its crews were responding to reports of a fire on Carr Road off Highway 42 North in Gregg County at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Saturday.

They estimated the fire to be roughly six to eight acres in size but that it was rapidly moving through trees in the area.
