ANDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - Attorneys for death row inmate Robert Roberson filed an emergency motion Wednesday asking the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals to bar the state's former lead counsel from participating in current court proceedings after learning the attorney is now employed by the court.
The motion centers on Travis Bragg, a former assistant attorney general under Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
According to the filing, Bragg served as the state's lead counsel opposing Roberson's appeals until recently.
