The Laredo Police Department opens a new mental health unit facility downtown on Washington Street, co-locating officers with community partners including Border Region and the 988 Committee.

(KGNS) - The city of Laredo and police cut the ribbon on a new facility on the 1500 block of Washington Street.
The Laredo Police Department's mental health unit previously operated out of headquarters.
Officers will now be stationed alongside community partners, including Border Region and the 988 Committee.
