The Daughters of the Republic of Texas' Dr. Wilhelm Keidel Chapter in Fredericksburg will meet Monday, Sept. 14, at the Gillespie County Historical Society Social Hall, 312 W. Local historian and former judge Katherine Peake will be the guest speaker and present on the topic of "Women's Lives Through Artists' Eyes." The Dr. Wilhelm Keidel DRT Chapter encourages all to recognize important Texas history dates in September.

All are asked to fly the Texas flag on the upcoming Texas Honor Days: Texas Heroes Day, Sept. 18, and Texian Navy Day, Sept. 19.
