WOODVILLE, Texas (KLTV) - A Quitman man could spend the rest of his life in prison after a Wood County visiting judge sentenced him to 45 years in prison for attacking a woman with a machete and his feet.

Visiting Judge Paul Banner sentenced Acey Joe Farris, 64, after Wood County revoked his probation April 23 for the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to court records.

Court records show Banner originally sentenced Farris to 10 years of deferred adjudication probation Nov. 13, 2023, with the stipulation that he attend and successfully complete a program at Second Chance Ministries in Alba.
