LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A Lubbock grand jury handed down charges on Tuesday, indicting a man accused of attacking and killing his father back in September.
Justo Mendez Jr., 37, is charged with aggravated assault against a family member with a deadly weapon, causing serious bodily injury.
Police say Mendez Jr. got into what he told officers was a "bad fight" with his father at a home near 64th Street and Avenue S on the morning of Sept. 27, after he had taken approximately 50 Xanax pills.
