MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - The DPS Criminal Investigations Division executed a series of search and arrest warrants Aug. 12 as part of a long-term investigation into a criminal enterprise trafficking stolen petroleum products.

The operation was carried out by DPS CID's Organized Oilfield Theft Prevention Unit in coordination with multiple local, state and federal law enforcement partners, DPS said.

Investigation targets Texas oil companyThe investigation focused on a Texas-based oil and gas company doing business as Vallee, which is suspected of participating in the organized theft and trafficking of petroleum products, according to DPS.
