A 72-year-old woman died Friday after being hit by a vehicle near the Texas Medical Center, and the case will be presented to a Harris County grand jury, according to Houston police.

The crash happened around 4:40 a.m. in the 7300 block of Fannin Street.

Police said the woman was walking through a crosswalk while using a walker when a westbound white Nissan Altima struck her.
