HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- This year's holiday shopping season could cost you extra cash if you plan on getting your gifts at the Galleria Mall.

According to the Simon Property Group, The Galleria will introduce a "modern parking system designed to provide convenient parking for guests visiting to shop, dine, and enjoy the center." Starting Nov. 2, a flat parking rate will apply in The Galleria garages: The Simon Group added that select retailers may offer parking validation at their discretion, and employees will continue to park for free in designated areas.
