BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Early voting is surging across the Houston area, with multiple counties nearly doubling their totals compared with the same period in the 2022 midterms.

More than 27,000 people in Brazoria County have already voted in person during the first two days of early voting, according to the Brazoria County Clerk's Office.

That agency says just over 14,000 people have voted in person in the county so far in the 2022 midterms.
