CONROE, Texas (KBTX) - A 59-year-old woman died Sunday morning after a pickup truck driving the wrong way on Interstate 45 collided head-on with her SUV, according to the Conroe Police Department.

Conroe police said dispatchers got a call around 4:40 a.m. Sunday reporting a wrong-way driver headed south in the northbound lanes of I-45. A second caller about a minute later said the vehicle, a dark-colored pickup truck, had last been seen near Gladstell Street.

Police said another caller then reported the truck was going about 100 mph.
