Wed, 09/09/2026 - 19:31 In-page image(s) X Body After 79 years in business and 71 years at its familiar downtown location, one of Fort Stockton's longtime Main Street staples is preparing to close its doors, marking the end of an era for a family business that grew from a few pieces of furniture hauled from Marfa into a community institution.

Terrazas Furniture began in 1947 under founder Pete Terrazas, though the business did not immediately occupy the storefront generations recognize today.
