BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The Salvation Army is welcoming the holiday season with its Christmas Kickoff celebration on the 13th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Blue Baker on University, with a special program starting at noon.

The event marks the official start of both the Angel Tree program-supporting a record 2,437 local children this year through in-person and virtual adoptions-and the annual Red Kettle campaign, which has already begun at Hobby Lobby and expands to Walmart on the 14th and Kroger on the 27th.

Community members are invited to attend, learn more, and help keep the miracle of Christmas alive.
