TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - For many East Texans, Roy Knight is best known as the former superintendent of Lufkin ISD.

But before he led a school district, he was a teacher, a coach, a mentor, and someone who believed every student deserved someone in their corner.

After nearly four decades in education, Roy has spent his life helping young people grow, encouraging teachers and building relationships that have lasted far beyond the classroom.
