The Hill Country Archeological Association will host a book club meeting at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library, 505 Water St., in Kerrville.

The association brings together avocational and professional archaeologists to study and preserve the Texas Hill Country's prehistoric and historical heritage and to educate the public about archaeology.

The book club selected "Lost City of the Monkey God: A True Story" by Douglas Preston.
